Good evening to our friends in the FC Community. Today I am very happy to invite Francis Foster from IQ Protocol to be a guest in our FC Community AMA session.

2.Could you please explain why the ability to rent NFTs is important for the space?

NFT utility is developing extremely quickly, but we’re still seeing only a fraction of their potential. We’re confident that they will be a vital component of Gaming and Metaverse projects for the foreseeable future.

Using gaming as an example, the ability to rent in-game digital assets, in addition to buying and selling are multifaceted:

- Users can try before you buy. Rent an NFT before committing to buy at full price.

- Borrow power-ups. No need to permanently buy a new NFT, when you can just rent it for a specific duration to beat the boss battle or mine resources.

- A circular economy for NFTs. Think “stake to earn” and “play to earn” conveniently offered in one gaming ecosystem.

- Offer flexible payment modes. The game provider can charge a fee for the renting feature, stake the NFTs themselves, or both.

We believe our solution is unique as we can provide this service without risk of the NFT not being returned and without the borrower needing to post collateral.

In addition to Gaming and Metaverse examples, we believe NFTs will have huge opportunities for the creator economy. Increasingly the creative industries are being consumed by deathstar companies expanding through M&A capturing the entire production to consumption value-chain — I read recently that less than 10% of the revenue generated within the music industry goes to the artists — NFT have the chance to turn that on its head building direct relationships between creators and audiences.

3.Could you please elaborate on IQ Protocol’s concept of “Renting Pool”?

Francis:

Renting Pools are a component of IQ Protocol’s unique tokenomics structure which it can bring to any project wishing to operate as a tokenized SaaS.

A renting pool allows token holders to stake their fungible tokens which can be rented by the service users who would like access without paying full token price. This creates a circular economy and sustainable returns for staking token holders.

4.Why would a blockchain project want to integrate your IQ Protocol solution into their tokenomics, and how would it benefit their ecosystem?

Francis:

IQ Protocol provides the ultimate “plug and play” tokenomics model. This solution, which is industry and blockchain agnostic, lays out the framework to provide instant utility to existing and/or planned tokens, and ultimately provides the foundations of a token economy which gives real meaning to a token.

The IQ protocol revolves around two basic principles — Life-Time Value, and Rentability.

A common blockchain business model often involves the conversion of fiat into the project token, and then the utilization of that project token to purchase the solution from the project itself. But transactions need not be so linear. The IQ Protocol can provide an innovative new framework where transactions don’t need to take place each time an interested buyer would like to access a product. In fact, this access can be provided perpetually — given the right token economic setup.

5.In the future, will IQ Protocol be able to use its token subscriptions model to allow blockchain projects to replace subscription service systems like Netflix and iQIYI?

Francis:

We certainly hope so.

Under our token economic model, businesses sell tokens to consumers who are incentivized to hold so that they can continue to consume the goods for the life of the token. Alternatively, consumers can sell the tokens to each other, for varying prices depending upon the remaining life of the token.

Token holders can also put their tokens up for rent, earning income on their digital assets, and further incentivizing them to hold the tokens throughout its useful life. While collecting income from these digital assets, the original token holders can then put those earnings back into the economy to obtain more tokens from the issuer, or to purchase other goods or services from other consumers.

6.How much income can the partnership project’s community earn by renting out their NFT and Token, via the staking and leasing function?

Francis:

It’s an interesting question, and it’s hard to give an accurate answer, the answer comes from market demand. You should look at the value of your NFT that you are going to rent out, both FIAT value & the utility value. The higher those values are, the higher you can expect to gain as income as a result. Where there is a demand there is always value to be had.

7.How do you guarantee the ownership of NFTs and tokens after leasing, and how do you recover overdue NFTs?

Francis:

In a collateral-less renting arrangement, a wrapped version of the original NFT is minted. This wrapped NFT carries all of the same characteristics and attributes of the original asset and is, of course, backed by that asset — the difference is that once the wrapped version has expired it doesn’t provide the eligibility of the original asset anymore.

8.What is the relationship between the PARSIQ platform and the IQ Protocol platform, and how do they benefit each other mutually?

Francis:

This is a really good question, and one which we’re carefully considered throughout our development

Beyond leveraging extended networks, internal expertise, and marketing reach, the two companies will be greatly mutually beneficial. IQ is built on top of PARSIQ infrastructure, leveraging their node network, and more importantly the monitoring technology. For those deploying certain types of fungible token pools on IQ Protocol, where holding tokens unlocks certain values and services, the project would require some PARSIQ monitoring to enable their tokenomics, ensuring that ‘x’ address holds ‘y’ tokens to unlock ‘z’ service. As PARSIQ’s infrastructure widens, as does IQ Protocols. As the IQ Protocol grows, so does PARSIQ’s network.

9.At present, how many blockchain projects have agreed to partner with IQ Protocol? Which important milestone has been reached? And, what is the next goal for IQ Protocol?

Francis:

We’ve already announced partnerships with Coreto, Starbots, Radom, Mysterium, ChainMyth, BitSpawn, Sorcery and Sator with 30+ in the pipeline including some huge names.

10.Can you explain briefly about IQT tokenomics, usage and growth space?

The $IQT token will act as a governance token for the protocol. We are still finalising the last touches to the tokenomics, but we have some really great plans that will create a demand for the token. You should join our channels so that you can stay up to date, we’ll be announcing the tokenomics this quarter.

This should be a no-brainer for anyone who wants to buy $IQT.
